How It Works
From spec to site.
One point of contact.
Tenarc manages every step of the transformer lifecycle — from initial engineering review through manufacturing, testing, shipping, installation, and long-term service. You deal with one team, not a dozen vendors.
01

Specification & Engineering Review

You share your requirements — voltage class, MVA rating, quantity, applicable standards, and delivery timeline. Our engineering team reviews the specifications, confirms design parameters, materials, and IEEE/ANSI compliance requirements. We provide budgetary pricing within 5 business days.

02

Design & Engineering Approval

Detailed design drawings, General Arrangement (GA) drawings, and engineering documentation are prepared and submitted for your review and approval. Includes thermal calculations, impedance analysis, and BIL coordination.

03

Manufacturing

Production at ISO 9001/14001/45001-certified facilities with in-process quality inspections at every stage — core stacking, winding, assembly, tanking, and oil processing. Climate-controlled winding shops with positive air pressure ensure dust-free assembly.

04

Factory Testing

Comprehensive routine and type testing at NABL-accredited laboratories — including ratio, polarity, insulation resistance, lightning impulse (BIL), partial discharge, temperature rise, and short-circuit withstand. Full test reports provided.

05

Third-Party Inspection

Optional buyer-witnessed testing or independent third-party audit before dispatch. We coordinate all logistics for factory visits and can facilitate remote video witnessing of critical tests including impulse, PD, and temperature rise.

06

Export Packaging & Ocean Freight

Export-grade maritime packaging with nitrogen-filled tanks for ocean transit. Shipped via deep-water ports (Mundra, Nhava Sheva) with heavy-lift capability. West Coast delivery in 25–30 days, East Coast/Gulf in 35–45 days.

07

US Customs & Compliance

Complete import compliance management — HTS classification, tariff analysis, duty optimization, customs clearance documentation, and coordination with US port authorities. Landed-cost estimate provided upfront with no surprises.

08

Last-Mile Heavy-Haul Transport

Specialized heavy-haul transport from US port to your project site. Route surveys, permitting, escort vehicles, and crane coordination for transformer offloading and placement on foundation.

09

Installation & Commissioning

On-site erection support, oil filtration and processing, bushing installation, winding resistance and ratio verification, insulation testing, and energization. Commissioning engineers available for supervision and technical guidance through first energization.

10

After-Sales & Lifecycle Support

Warranty coverage, periodic Dissolved Gas Analysis (DGA) guidance, Frequency Response Analysis (FRA), field diagnostics, and repair services. On-site Mobile Vapour Phase Drying (MVPD) available for units up to 500 MVA. Tenarc remains your single point of contact throughout the transformer's service life.

Frequently Asked Questions
What buyers ask us.
Are your transformers IEEE/ANSI compliant?+
Yes. We manufacture to IEEE C57, ANSI, and IEC 60076 standards. All units are type-tested at internationally accredited laboratories including KEMA (Netherlands), CPRI, and ERDA. Spec compliance is verified before production begins — you receive a US-ready transformer.
What about import tariffs and duties?+
Tenarc handles tariff analysis and import compliance as part of our end-to-end service. We navigate HTS classification, applicable duty rates, and any exemptions or trade provisions. You receive a landed-cost estimate upfront — no surprises at the port.
Who handles shipping and logistics?+
We do. Tenarc manages the entire logistics chain from our factory to your US site — including export packaging, ocean freight, customs clearance, port handling, and last-mile heavy-haul transport. We ship via deep-water ports with heavy-lift capability to 40+ countries.
What is the typical delivery timeline?+
Under 12 months from order placement to site delivery for most configurations. Distribution transformers can ship in 8–16 weeks. Power transformers under 100 MVA typically take 20–28 weeks for production plus 4–6 weeks for ocean transit. Compare this to 24–36 months from other US-market OEMs.
Can I visit the manufacturing facility?+
Absolutely. We encourage factory audits and technical review visits. We coordinate the entire visit — including facility tours, engineering team meetings, and review of our testing capabilities. Our manufacturing facilities are ISO-certified with NABL-accredited labs.
What warranty and after-sales support do you provide?+
Every transformer comes with a standard manufacturer warranty per contract terms. We also provide commissioning support, field diagnostics, and repair and remanufacturing services — including on-site Mobile Vapour Phase Drying (MVPD) for units up to 500 MVA. Tenarc is your single point of contact for all post-delivery support.
How do I get started?+
Send us your transformer specifications — voltage class (kV), MVA rating, quantity, applicable standards (IEEE, ANSI, utility-specific), and your target delivery timeline. We will provide budgetary pricing within 5 business days, followed by a technical review call with our engineering team.
